After my experience with Barebell’s Salty Peanut protein bar, I couldn’t wait to get my hands on other flavours they had in stock, and White Chocolate Almond did not disappoint!

At first glance, the bar looks like a normal white chocolate bar with pieces of almond added to the mix, and it has a mix of chocolate and artificial sweetener flavour to it. I personally don’t really mind the artificial sweeteners that it contains, but I do understand the argues against using it. Texture of the bar is much softer than a normal chocolate bar, which would have made it boring after the first few bites if not for the crunchiness of the almond pieces.

Nutritionwise, this bar is similar to other Barebells protein bar. 204 Calories for 20 grams of protein, 4 grams of fiber, and 16 grams of carbs which only 1.3 gram is from sugar.

Overall, I don’t think the white chocolate almond is a bad bar, but it wouldn’t be my top choice between the bars I’ve tried so far. The sweetener taste and smell is a bit overwhelming for this flavour, specially if it’s not taken with a drink on the side.
